The Negril Candle Company is founded by Gary Simmons, one of the world’s leading candle designers and who is also teaching candle making. In 1995 together with his brother he co founded Stone Glow Candles, one of the largest candle manufacturers in England. His candle designs and wax art have sold worldwide. He has had critically acclaimed solo exhibitions in Monaco and Cannes, Los Angeles, London, Singapore and Dubai. Gary has taught candle making in America, China, India, Africa and Europe including running a Candle Academy on the French Riviera.

In the 1990’s Gary travelled to Jamaica, fell in love with the country, and bought a plot of land just outside of Negril in Orange Bay. He has recently returned to complete the house he started 30 years ago and has partnered with Rockhouse in creating the Negril Candle Company, manufacturing from a workshop across the road from the hotel.
